Museum Program Overview
The 49ers Museum presented by Sony is a two-level, 20,000 square foot space dedicated to showcasing the past, present, and future of the 49ers organization and its commitment to education and innovation. We create moments of inspiration by providing learning platforms that connect, inspire and engage students grades K-8 through relevant content, interactive explorations, peer collaboration, application of skills learned and student reflection. The 49ers Museum Education Program uses football as a platform for:
- Teaching content-rich lessons in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) where students engage in finding real solutions to real-world problems
- Ingraining invaluable life skills
- Encouraging physical activity
The 49ers Museum Education Program Curricula
- Is aligned to California Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards
- Engages students in a variety of technologically-rich learning experiences that are student-center and can be adapted to various development levels and learning audiences
- Integrates STEM learning through project-based activities that transfer student knowledge and skills to real-world problems
- Is aligned to 21ST Century Learning Skills (Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving, Communication, Collaboration and Creativity)
- Increases student motivation for learning and enhances student understanding of STEAM concepts
CONSENT FORMS
The above button is the consent form for the 49ers Education Program. Every camper and camp counselor that participates in our program must have a signed and completed consent form and ready to turn in upon arrival.
Important note: Only campers and camp counselors that have turned in a signed 49ers consent form may participate in the program day. All campers who do not return a consent form will not be permitted to attend the 49ers Education Program. If a camper arrives to Levi’s® Stadium without a signed consent form, it will be requested that the camp provider provide transportation for the camper to return to their site for the remainder of the day. We do not provide over-the-phone consent by parents once campers are at the stadium. We want all the kids to be able to experience the day, and to do that, the consent form is a mandatory and essential piece. Thank you for complying with our request.
Transportation
You will be transporting your campers to Levi’s® Stadium on the day of your event. Please note that you need to arrive to 4900 Marie P. DeBartolo Way, Santa Clara, CA 95054 no later than 9:00am on the day of your visit unless otherwise approved by 49ers administrative staff. You will be parking near our Solar Bridges off of Tasman Avenue in the Great America Parking Lot outside of GATE A. Please allow time for traffic and other variables when traveling to Levi’s® Stadium. Upon arrival to Levi’s® Stadium, the museum education staff will be waiting for your classes near our solar bridges and will walk the campers and chaperones over to Intel Plaza. Attached is a map for your convenience.

Field Trip Educational Activity Synopsis
K-3rd: Forces & Movement Lab
Campers will explore the variety of forces that affect the football in the big game. After learning these concepts through hands-on demonstrations and camper engagement, campers will participate in explorative activities and simulations that model such forces and reflect in multiple ways about such phenomena.
4th-6th: The World of Engineering & Design in Football
This cross-curricular STEAM lesson focuses on the design and the science/engineering behind all things related to football. Campers are shown how the engineering process can be directly related to football and the world around them through the exploration of stadium construction/design and by learning how the engineering design process helps engineers create safe and effective sporting equipment.
Attire
Because of the extensive walking in which movement is required throughout the day, campers are requested to wear closed toe shoes and clothing that they can move comfortably and easily. Please have campers refrain from sandals or dress shoes that could potentially hinder physical activity levels.
Lunch
Lunch will not be provided by the 49ers, but a lunch area and time to eat will be. We request that campers and chaperones bring sack lunches (no lunch boxes, please), and that they are clearly labeled with their first and last name, and that is easily disposable once lunch is over. We would request that campers and camp counselors/chaperones bring water for their lunch beverage, unless there are dietary requirements that require something different. Campers and chaperones will be eating lunch inside of Levi’s® Stadium during a designated lunch time and are asked to bring food items that do not require refrigeration, heat, or extra attention upon lunch time. We would also suggest separating the lunches into boxes by site; which will make the storage and distribution process much easier for our staff. Please have each camper and chaperone write their name on their disposable lunch bags/class boxes. Please note that campers do not need to bring their backpacks for the field trip. We do not provide an option for purchase of lunch onsite at this time.
